Rob Zombie on a Friday Night

No, we don't listen to Rob Zombie on a regular basis.  And yes, C cried when the song was over because she wanted to keep dancing.  

The Fireman Park

We love the fireman park and today we walked over to the fire station after we played for a while.  The guys on duty were nice enough to give us a tour.  C got to sit in the cab of the fire engine (excuse the quality, I took this pic with my phone). 

C and F got these super awesome plastic fireman hats.  C has been wearing hers ever since.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone.  What a GORGEOUS day!  

We started out festivities yesterday with a good old fashioned easter egg hunt.  It was cold & rainy - not the the most ideal weather, but we had a good time.  The kids loved hunting for eggs.

The group: 

This morning at the beautiful hour of 5:30am - C ran into our room - so excited she could barely talk.  The easter bunny left two eggs in her bed!  And she didn't even wake up when he dropped them off!  We told her that we were absolutely NOT getting up at 5:30am.  She very grudgingly went back to bed.  

At 7:15am, she woke up again.  We followed the trail of easter eggs that went from her room all the way downstairs and into the kitchen and ended right at her easter basket!  Hooray!  the easter bunny was successful.

3 cool things

3 cool things that have happened recently:

(1) i have a bag full of carters clothes from when F was younger.  the "tagless" tags gave him a really bad rash that lasted for over 6 months.  as soon as i realized the tags were responsible for the problem (carters posted an advisory on their website) i immediately stopped using the items that were responsible.  his rash went away immediately.  anyway, i called carters today and they are mailing me a box so i can send the clothes back to them.  they are paying the postage AND they are giving me a full refund!  hooray for awesome customer service.  because of their cool-ness, i will be a carters customer for life, which isn't hard since their stuff is so darling.

(2) i bought these screens from lakeside.com.  they are so dorky looking, but hey - it keeps the bugs out and now i can enjoy the nice breeze outside.

(3) we bought an ice cream maker off of craigslist for $5.  

i don't think life could get any better.
