child of boundless seas, what you are, what you're meant to be

C: Hey Mom?  What's that place over there with the cars up high?
Me: Oh, that's a place you take your car to get it fixed.
C: Why are the cars up so high?
Me: So the fix-it dudes can get underneath to fix the cars.
C: Well, what if the cars poo on your head when you're under there?
Me: Cars don't poo.
C: Oh.

I just never really know what is going to come out of her mouth.  I just love her.  She's growing up too fast.  She asked me to put velcro curlers in her hair today "to make it look cute."  While we were waiting for the curlers to set, I glanced over at her and she just looked so big.  I cannot believe she's 4 years old.  I don't know where the time has gone.  She's been so nervous lately, because she knows that she has to get shots at her 5 year appt.  She's already worried about it.  I'm worried about it as well - but for entirely different reasons.  I don't want her to get any bigger.  I just want her to stay little.  I wish I could go back in time and just have one more day with C, when she was 6 months old.  Just one more day to hold her.  She'll always be my best little buddy.

2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Party

We had a great time.  Super great food.  We had a mexican casserole, taquitos, ceviche, chips & salsa, apple empanadas, & horchata.  For dessert we had a tres leche cake that was so good!  The kids had a great time with the pinata.

The happy family:  And yes, F did have a normal outfit on at first, but it got really cold really fast so we had to budle him up.

C anxiously awaiting her turn for the pinata:

Two best buddies:

My New Toy

I've saved all my hard-earned cash for the last little bit and on Saturday, I bought myself a new toy.  I've had my eye on this for a long time.  I got a Chariot double trailer.  It is so much fun.  Today we biked to the grocery store.  I locked the bike up, switched the trailer to stroller mode, took the kids inside, got all my stuff and then we headed home on the bike.  I see many adventures in our near future with this thing . . . . .

C & F ~ 15 Month Stats & 4 Year Stats

I know, i'm a bit late.

F's 15 Month Stats:

Height: 32 inches
Weight: 23 lbs

C's 15 Month Stats:

Height: 32 1/2 inches
Weight: 21 lbs

C's 4 Year Stats:

Height: 41 1/4 inches
Weight: 33 lbs.

F is catching up to C.  I was suprised to learn that F is only 1/2 inch shorter than C was at this age.  C always seemed so dang tall.  Both kids are healthy.  For the first time, C wasn't scared of the Dr.  F, on the other hand, would rather go to the 7th circle of hell than the pediatricican's office.
