Aunt L took C to the Miley Cryus concert last night. C was sooooooooo excited. She had so much fun. Aunt L said that she was rockin' out the whole time - doing the robot and the hoedown throwdown. She didn't go to bed until after 10:00pm, which is 3 hours past her normal bedtime. She was really tired this morning and we were almost late for school. Today's show-and-tell needed to start with "C" so she proudly stated that she went to a Concert last night. Thanks Aunt L!!!!!

Smile Like a Saint and Curse Like a Sailor
C: Mom, is SH!T a bad word?
Mom: Yeah buddy it is. You shouldn't say that. Where did you hear that word?
C: I just looked in my brain.
Mom: hmmmmmmmmm. What other bad words are in your brain?
C: PUNISH.
Mom: Punish isn't a bad word.
C: Yes it is. I hate when you punish me. I don't like doing time-out's.
Mom: Well just because you don't like being 'punished,' it doesn't mean that punish is a bad word.
C: Yes it does. You shouldn't say it.
Mom: K, whatever you say.
**I would like to add that I don't think J or I have ever used the word "punish" when putting C in a time out. I have no idea where she heard this. "Sh!t" on the other hand, most likely came directly out of Grandma Meow's mouth. Don't even give me that innocent face either. You know its true.

You're My Best Friend
C & F are becoming great friends. It seems like they are finally starting to play together. F's version of C's name is darling. He says "caaaaaaaaaaah keeeeeeeeeeh." The first thing he wants when he wakes up is his sister. He idolizes her and imitates everything she does. He loves to make her laugh. These pictures were taken over the last couple weeks:

And yes, I am fully planning on using the last picture as a blackmail tool for F someday.

Secret Singing
C sings ALL. THE. TIME. All kinds of different songs. Anything from Iron & Wine, to ABBA, to Peter Frampton. She sings when she's eating, when we're driving in the car, when she's in the tub. Basically, she is NEVER quiet. I just put one of Dan Zane's albums on my ipod. Both her and F love it. He sings this song called "Waltzing Matilda," an Australian folk song (which has some interesting history attached to it. Click the link for more info, if you're so inclined). J filmed her singing it the other day:
Right after this, she started singing ABBA. I just love her. "Give me, give me, give me a man after midnight . . . . . . !"

Plate Face
9 times out of 10 ~ this is how F's dinner ends:
I'm getting really sick of cleaning up his dinner after he flings it across the kitchen so he can wear his plate on his face. Notice his shirt - J poured him a huge cup filled with orange julius, which he promptly poured all over himself. Boys are weird.

C's First Fish
J took C fishing for the first time yesterday. C was so excited. She grabbed the fishing poles and RAN down the path to the lake/pond/reservoir/body of water.

C, being totally brave and hanging onto the worms for her Dad.
Behold! The Fish!

Preschool! Finally!
C started preschool today. She was so, so, so excited. When I told her that we needed to take some pictures, she told me that she wanted to pick how she looked - meaning that she got to pick her pose. As you can see - she's a natural.

After we dropped her off, F started to cry. He pointed out the window and said his sister's name over and over. I forgot to bring his kiki (favorite blanket that is permanently attached to him) so he was feeling rather unloved. He's gonna miss her, and I will too. Maybe.
