I was bored.

I needed something to do in the worst way. So, I put the kids in the car and went to our local dinosaur museum. Yes, that is a "leash" on F. When I'm wrangling both kids by myself, you better believe that I'm gonna take all precautions. They had robotic move-by-themselves dinosaurs. A triceratops and a t rex (a shout-out to Mrs. K, my 3rd grade teacher who taught me all I know about dinosaurs). It scared the kids so bad! I loved every minute of it.

On our way home from the dino museum, we stopped at the Air Force Museum. F absolutely loved it. Every time he saw an airplane, he would point and say "baaaaaaahhhh" which must mean: "holy crap, that is so awesome."

It was good day. Hot, but good.

Houston, we have a problem

Time & Date of incident: Friday, July 17, 2009, 8:00a.m.

Location: Our house.

Adult in charge: J. Who else does this kind of crap happen too? Remember this little situation? The poo burrito

Synopsis:

F woke up around 7:30am. I jumped in the shower immediately. J was in charge of both kids. I got out of the shower, toweled off and was busy putting gel in my hair when C came running down the hall screaming, "Dad! You have to see this! F has a leak problem!" I told J to hurry up and deal, cuz it didn't sound good.

J ran into C's room and started laughing. F slept in a onsie last night and apparently, he was through with his diaper. He reached up into his onsie from the leg hole and unfastened his diaper. He tried to pull it out but didn't get that far. It seems as if as soon as the cold air made its way to his "parts" he peed. A lot. So J has F on the changing table, trying to decide how to deal with this. Unsnap the onsie first? Finish pulling out the diaper first? Stand there and until I come and deal with it?

I couldn't help it. I had to get pictures. And yes, that is a scab under F's nose. This kid falls like every 2.5 minutes.

Safety First.

We went on a family bike ride Saturday evening. We were cruising down Main Street. J was the leader, C was in the middle and I was bringing up the back, with F in the ibert. A policeman passed us in his car and made a quick right turn into a parking lot that we were headed for. He got out of his car and asked if he could talk to us for a couple minutes.

He explained that subway was pairing up with the safe kids coalition to reward parents that made sure their kids were safe. He stopped us because he noticed that C and F both had helmets on. He rewarded us with two subway gift cards. Sweet!

I guess it does pay to put safety first. Remember this cartoon??

C's "conspirament."

C asked me for a sippy cup and I happily obliged. After getting said sippy I went upstairs to dust my bedroom. When I came back down, I found this on the kitchen counter:

Here we have a sippy cup, filled 1/2 way with water and filled with Kix and a couple of animal crackers. I asked C what in the world she was doing, and she matter-of-factly explained that this is her "conspirament" and she is waiting to see if the water makes the food "distappear." I asked her who taught her how to do "conspiraments" and she told me it was Jesus. Go figure.
