8 years ago, on August 26, 2000

J and I got married. I cannot believe its been 8 years. Its gone by so fast. Looking back, we've done quite a bit. J graduated with his bachelors, we moved to California for his work, had a kid, moved back home, had another kid and then J graduated with his Master's. So much has been packed in to these last 8 years, its just flown by. I dedicate this post to J with 8 reasons why I love him.

1. He is really funny. He has a great sense of humor and keeps me laughing all the time.

2. He is mischievous. I have finally met my match when it comes to playing practical jokes. We have a really good time devising ways to make our loved ones crazy.

3. He is a wonderful father. My kids love him so much. C tells me everyday that she "misses daddy."

4. He loves to have a good time. I don't know anyone else that likes to have a good time like J does. He is always looking for something fun to do and is the first person to suggest getting a game of some type going.

5. He is logical. When there is a problem, he gets down to business and solves it.

6. He likes scary movies. I don't know what I would do if I was married to someone that didn't like to be scared. There have been so many times where we have to do "paper-rock-scissors" to see who has to go downstairs to turn off the lights after watching a spooky show. I usually lose, but so far I have avoided running into any poltergeist and/or other totally creepy paranormal beings.

7. He is my biggest fan. If I'm having a rough day, he is the first person to make me feel better. He always tells me that I'm a good mom and that he thinks I'm pretty.

8. He makes me want to be a better person. I'm grateful to be married to someone who lifts me up with him and encourages me to always strive to better myself.

I love you J. Here's to a lifetime (and beyond) of happiness!
