About a year ago, C had a dream about an evil ladybug that came through her window and bit her on the ankle. She was dead serious about it and was terrified of this horrible no-good ladybug. She would show anyone her ladybug bite on her ankle (which was this tiny red mark made by her tennis shoes). If you tried to tell her that ladybugs don't bite - she would INSIST they did and she had proof.
After about a month of constantly being worried that the ladybug and its posse of mean friends were going to attack - she finally dropped it.
Well, its 11:30pm, Thanksgiving night. C started yelling for me. I ran in there before she woke up F and she was sitting straight up in bed, staring at her mattress. I asked her what the problem was and she explained that the lady bug was back! and it bit her on the thumb! She was obviously still asleep and dreaming. She kept asking me what the "black spots" on her bed were (there are no black spots). I tried to explain to her that she was dreaming but she didn't believe me. So, I just tucked her in but before I left, she pulled up her legs really fast and said to me, "mom, something just bit my toe" and the whole process started all over again.
I was laughing so hard when I got back into my room. I told J about it, and he had to see for himself. So, he went into C's room and talked to her for a bit about the dreaded ladybug's return. He made plans with C to make a ladybug trap tomorrow afternoon. I will post pictures of the trap as soon as its done.

OMGoodness! Love it!
Next time I don't want to go to bed, I'm going to say that the ladybugs are after me too! ;)
That is so weird, because ladybugs are awesome. Garren just LOVES bugs, but.. get this... house flys freak him out. Explain that...kids are so weird....
