Safety First.

We went on a family bike ride Saturday evening. We were cruising down Main Street. J was the leader, C was in the middle and I was bringing up the back, with F in the ibert. A policeman passed us in his car and made a quick right turn into a parking lot that we were headed for. He got out of his car and asked if he could talk to us for a couple minutes.

He explained that subway was pairing up with the safe kids coalition to reward parents that made sure their kids were safe. He stopped us because he noticed that C and F both had helmets on. He rewarded us with two subway gift cards. Sweet!

I guess it does pay to put safety first. Remember this cartoon??
