Totally Uncool

We went to Mimi's house last night for a little pace-bar-on-the-deck action. F was happily licking his peach popsicle when he stumbled right into a hornet's nest. He started screaming. J yanked him away from the nest, but not before we saw quite a few of those little yellow buggers all over him. We rushed him inside to begin the damage control. F cried for over 2 hours. J mixed meat tenderizer and water to make a little paste and put it on the stings we could see. Apparently, the meat tenderizer reverses the stinging and makes everything feel much better. We iced the stings afterward and then got F in the tub. It wasn't until he was out of the tub that we realized he had been stung many more times than we thought. Initially, we saw 2 stings, but after the tub we counted at least 5.

When I was 14 years old I was riding my bike to my friend's house. A hornet landed on my hand and stung my left ring finger. It hurt like a bugger. So, I can only imagine how my little precious baby 2 year old was feeling with at least 5 of these little treats.

After F was taken care of, J went out there armed with wasp spray and a deadly vendetta. He killed each and every one of those nasty little buggers. That will teach 'em to mess with my family.

Oh. My. Goodness. :(

A, I am SO sorry. Poor little guy. I'm shaking right now for him. Please give him extra hugs and kisses from me! ♥

I'm TERRIFIED of any bug that bites or stings... so imagine my shock {and screams and total freak out mode} when I found a scorpion in our pantry Wednesday... right after Noah had been hiding in there. Freaked. Me. Out.
