Feeling thankful for friends/family this morning. Over the last few weeks it has been amazing and totally awesome to see how many people have contacted J and I to see how we're doing, ask if we need anything, to give us advice, pass helpful information along and to to just make sure we're doing good. We have an amazing extended family and amazing friends. We appreciate it so much. Thank you!!
We are doing good. J's vision has returned to about 90% of what it used to be. He still cannot see details. I was asking him for examples of his acuity loss last night and he informed me that he could see me (I was about 2 feet in front of him) but he couldn't see the zit on my forehead. I told him that I thought it was a good idea that he kept his good eye closed all the time then. Sheesh.
Everything still looks a bit blurry and over-exposed. Hopefully, his vision will continue to improve. It can take up to 6 months for everything to settle back down.
We have a few dr. appts lined up in February to move things along. So,we'll see what next month brings.
C is doing great. She came home last Wednesday with a lot of math homework. Usually she brings home one sheet of homework per day. As I was looking at her math homework I thought that it looked rather advanced for 1st grade. I asked her about it, and she casually told me that she goes to the "smart math class" out in the hall. ?????? After pestering her for more information, I gathered that she goes out in the hall with a different teacher for her math class. Parent/Teacher conference is next week - I'm hoping to be further enlightened.
F is my dude. He's loving dinosaurs, cars and star wars. His preschool is amazing and I love seeing what he learns everyday.
M is a buddy as well. I don't think he could be any cuter. I need to post some pics of him. I will add that to my to-do list.
