The Discovery Channel features this show called "A Haunting." It recreates "true" stories of hauntings and what people did to stop their unwanted other-worldly activity. I'm like totally obsessed with this show. I love to be scared. I used to watch this in the afternoon when both C and F were sleeping. Sometimes, I would freak myself out so bad - I would have to turn it off. Anyway, my lame-ness is besides the point.
Now to get to the point: For the last 1.5 years or so, my mom will periodically receive phone calls from people around the Country looking for Debbie - the great clarivoyant that has helped so many people with their hauntings. These phone calls are so funny! In particular - one old lady from the South called and talked to my Mom for like 45 minutes all about the ghosts that drive her and her 35 cats crazy. She wanted my mom to come on down and deal with 'em. After receiving quite a number of phone calls, my dear Mother found out that on a particularly frightening episode of "A Haunting," a young couple uses a very famous clarivoyant/psychic to help them get rid of the evil spirits in their house. This clarivoyant/psychic has the exact same name as my Mom.
My Mom did a little Discovery Channel research and found the description for the episode that people keep calling her about.
“April James has always dreamed of renovating a Victorian house. When she and her fiancĂ© Matt buy a historic home in __________________, they immediately begin extensive work to make it their own... unaware of a ghostly inhabitant that detests change. From the beginning, the remodeling is plagued with setbacks, and their lives are unsettled by strange events: April hears voices inside the house, and her son Brian witnesses something moving in his bedroom closet. As they struggle to comprehend what is inside their house, an angry black entity appears to them, determined to drive them out. The couple turns to a medium, who vows to help them fight the entity, and protect the spirits of innocent children who are still being tortured by him.”
So there you have it. I told my Mom that she should get a side job going . . . . she can travel the world and help people with their ghosts. I love my Mom because she sits and talks on the phone with the people that call her and find out their history, etc. So, if you have a ghost, just drop me a line . . . . I know a wonderful psychic.
