I've kicked it.


Well, I just once and for all decided to stop.  I haven't had pepsi (diet, regular, caffeine-free) for a full 5 days now.  I have just been drinking water.  I feel great.  I think my body was starving for more water because I cannot believe how much I have been drinking.  I thought I would get caffeine headaches, but nope - haven't had one.  I thought I would get dead dog tired in the afternoon - but I've been just fine.  I sleep better at night than I have in a long time.  It even seems like I have more energy than I did before!  

I read this article about high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and it scared the crap out of me.  I had no idea that HFCS contained mercury.  And the frustrating part - HFCS is in everything.  My goal is to not have a drop of soda for an entire year.  We'll see how far I get.

wow, good luck with that. I mostly kicked my habit a few months back, too! way to go, I am glad you feel better even without a good old pepsi :)

Good for you! I should do the same. I know how hard it is. Sometimes nothing hits the spot better than a soda. I need to drink more water.
